Registration and concert tickets will be on sale online until January 22, 9 p.m.. After this date, registration and tickets will be available at the door.

The Horn Days are an accessible and inclusive event. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, you will find a wide range of activities, including workshops, masterclasses, a competition, multi-level horn ensembles, performances, and more!​

Registration and Payment

How can I register?

Registration will open shortly

What is the deadline to register?

There is no deadline to register. However, if you wish to participate in masterclasses, horn ensembles or the competition you must register before December 20, 2026.​

I am registered, but I have not received a confirmation email or an e-ticket.

If you have not received a confirmation email, please contact us as soon as possible so we can check everything. If you have received a confirmation email, please note that there are no electronic tickets. Instead, you will be given identification upon arrival at the event.

Can I cancel my registration and receive a refund?

Registration is non-refundable.

Activities

Should I bring my instrument?

Technically, it's not mandatory, but if you want to play in ensembles, it's easier!

I am a beginner, Is there a minimum level required to participate?

All horn players are welcome, regardless of their level. If you have any doubts about participating in an ensemble, please email us and we will be happy to advise you.

May I attend without playing?

Sure!

​​

I indicated that I would like to play in a masterclass. When will I find out the schedule?

Places in the masterclasses are limited. Around mid-January, an email will be sent to the selected horn players to confirm the repertoire and schedule.

​

Can I register to both the high and low horn competitions?

Yes, as long as there are spots available. If the number of registration surpasses the allotted time for the competition, participants will be asked to choose between high or low horn.

​

Where can I find the assignements for the grand ensemble?

There are no assignments, you can choose whichever part you prefer. You don't have to play the same part for each piece.

 

How can I tell if I am playing in a small ensemble?

Assignments for small ensembles, including the high school ensemble, are published in the Sheet Music section. This section is password protected. The password was sent to you in the confirmation email following your registration.

Can my parent attend a single activity, such as a masterclass, for example? 

Yes, tickets for à la carte activities will go on sale a few weeks before the event.

Can I invite friends and family to the concerts?

Yes, tickets for concerts will go on sale a few weeks before the event.

Useful Information

Where does the event take place?

All activities take place at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal at 4750 Henri-Julien Ave., Montreal, QC H2T 2C8.

​

Is there parking?

There is no parking at the Conservatory. Street parking is available, but spaces are very limited and can be hard to find. The best option is to use public transportation; the Conservatory is located near the Mont-Royal and Laurier metro stations.

​​

Is the venue accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Yes!

​

Is there a restaurant on site or close-by?

There are several cafes and restaurants nearby. 

There is also a place to eat at the Conservatory that has microwaves.
